Accessibility Statement
Last updated:
HappyDays (ימים שמחים) is committed to providing equal service to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We work to keep the Site comfortable, friendly and accessible to everyone.
Conformance level
The Site was built following Israeli Standard 5568, based on WCAG 2.0 level AA, and we work to meet it in full. Adjustments were checked in current browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) on desktop and mobile.
Accessibility features
- Full right-to-left Hebrew and left-to-right English support, with language and direction set on every page.
- Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Hierarchical headings and labels on every form field, with error messages announced to screen readers.
- Dynamic messages (e.g. "saved", correct / wrong answer) are announced to screen readers.
- Meaningful images, icons and buttons have a text alternative (alt / aria-label); decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
- Sufficient color contrast, and text that can be enlarged to 200% without losing content.
- Responsive design that adapts to any screen size.
- The operating system's "reduce motion" setting is respected — animations are softened or stopped.
- Background music never starts before the user clicks, and can be muted at any time with a dedicated button.
- The puzzle challenge can be completed with clicks (select a piece, then swap), not only by dragging.
Known limitations
- Content uploaded by event organizers — photos, videos and audio — is outside our control and may lack captions or text descriptions.
- The "audio riddle" requires listening, and the "blurred image" and "puzzle" challenges are image-based. An organizer who knows the celebrant needs an alternative can choose a trivia question, a code or a direct greeting instead.
We keep improving the Site's accessibility. If you meet a component that isn't accessible, please let us know and we'll fix it.
